Feel Good Friday: Shake The Shack, Shack*Shakers
Friday, November 14th, 2008I have a new band I’ve recently added to the list of bands I want to see live before I die. Sadly, they’ve been in town several times (usually with The Rev. Horton Heat or Hank III) and for some reason or another I never got to check them out. I will next time. I will drop everything and drag my sorry butt to the show, because after watching this video and listening to their music, there’s no reason for me not to.
I miss the best shows. I even missed Hank III and Unknown Hinson when that tour came through town. I want to say the Shack*Shakers were there for that one too, but don’t quote me on that. That could just be my dream lineup. Still, just on the basis of this compilation video (and this video) and the other songs I’ve heard, I’ve got to see these guys.
I’m taking a lesson from JQP and sneaking in like five songs into one Feel Good Friday. The more the merrier, and what is FGF without merriment and a healthy bottle of liquid chicken?
