Thanksgiving Thankfulness
This would be a longer post, but it’s hard for me to express any feelings without blubbering like a fat guy whose cake dumpster caught fire, so I’m going to try to be as thankful as I can with as few tears as possible. Don’t get used to it, because I’ve got a backlog of Den of Geek stuff I’ve done this week to shamelessly link you to later.
I’m thankful, first and foremost, for my good health physically and financially. I still have a job, and that’s more than a lot of people can say. I’ve got a roof over my head, no mortgage to pay, no car payments to have to make, and I can usually fill my stomach with food. I’m not sick, I’ve never broken any bones, and I survived my birth. That alone puts me miles ahead of a lot of people.
I’m thankful for my family. Every year we get to spend these holidays together is a blessing.
I think, at least right now, the thing I’m most thankful for is all you guys who are reading this crap right now. If I started thanking people individually, I know I’d leave someone out, but I wanted to thank you all for reading this, for clicking through to the other stuff I’ve done when I link it here, for leaving comments, for sharing the posts with other people, for adding me to your blogroll (I need to fix mine, I know), and for just generally being there. I could list a bunch of names, but you guys have better things to do today than read my blog (like gorge yourselves on turkey).
Through you guys I’ve done so much that I never thought I’d ever do, like get paid by people to write for them. So thanks. A lot. Especially those of you who’ve known me before I even had a blog and who pushed me, consistently and constantly, that I was good enough to do something with my life other than jockey the register at a liquor store or work at a video store, and those of you who cashed in favors and hassled/hustled to get me opportunities. You guys have all affected me so deeply, and you mean the world to me, even if I don’t know you.
I love you guys. You’re all awesome. Thanks again.
Author’s note: I always through it was lame when those actors and actresses who win awards get up there and are like, “There are so many people I want to thank!” As it turns out, maybe they actually do have a ton of people they want to thank and don’t want to leave anyone out. When I get rich, I’m gonna have the hugest posse in Beverly Hills.

“…and thank you, Ginger, for always stealing my jokes…to you I give a flaming bag of hell…”
Happy Thanksgiving, Ron. I am thankful for YOU. Your friendship has meant more to me than words can say. Ok, gotta stop now…getting all emotional.

Who told you what your Christmas present was going to be?! (Kidding. You’ll get your Christmas present just as soon as I get a bottle of chloroform and Jeff Fisher’s address.)
Seriously, you’ve been a great friend Ginger. Thanks a lot. I really appreciate it.
