wasted days and wasted nights
I love when I’m sitting around, doing whatever it is I do during my weekends (this weekend I was grinding Argent Dawn reputation in UD Stratholme, which means absolutely nothing to non-World of Warcraft players, but those in the know are groaning), and I glance at the clock on the computer and realize that it’s Sunday, not Saturday like I’d thought. That always makes me smack my forehead, groan, and realize that I’ve somehow lost a day. Is it just me, or does this happen to everyone? I think Sunday is Saturday, I think Thursday is Friday, I think Wednesday is another Monday… is my internal calendar malfunctioning?
Time really flies when you do absolutely nothing meaningful, I guess. Well, nothing except ruin someone’s love of 80′s rock and make Freddy Fender references. That’s why I’m completely out of any ideas to blog about. But hey, this counts as something to blog about, right? Right.
Not really related to this, but thought you might find this intersting.
Knowing that the Watchman movie will be coming out this summer, I’ve bought the novel and am now reading it. Just finished chapter one. So far, I’m sucked in.
Figured I’d want to get ahead of the curve so I can be one of the cool kids complaining how much the movie ruined the book.
I have been singing the praises of that book since I first read it in high school. It’s seriously one of the crowning achievements in literature, and I’m praying to Dr. Manhattan that Snyder won’t screw this up. If he does, he’s Uwe Boll. If he doesn’t, he’s… I don’t even know who to compare him to, then.
I will be highly annoyed if the Watchmen movie sucks–the book is pure awesome. Also, I lose days all the time, especially when there are either holidays involved (such as the upcoming Veteran’s Day) or something happens to disrupt my week (such as needing to wait for the phone repairman tomorrow instead of my usual routine). I have to constantly remind myself what day it is and what I need to be doing for the week in question, which is why I am a slave to my PDA and my watch. :(
